September 22, 2008 Zero wind yesterday for Monster Golf. Awesomeness. But, today is the first day of fall! Headed towards shorter days, and less play time out on the beach. Why can't it be summer all year long? Helpful hint: I inflated the Monster Golf Ball up until it was hard as rock. It flew incredibly far. But it seemed more likely to hook as well. Maybe more air = more power, less control. Also, if the beaches were crowded, I would've taken some air out for safety. It was going ridiculously far. Email

for more ideas! September 15, 2008 Saturday was epic in Newport Beach, as usual. Bright sun in mid-september, but the decent waves had me headed up to Huntington Beach for some surf instead. Paddled out at 17th street through consistent 4ft sets. I forgot how much further out they break than in Newport...definitely a shoulder workout! Finally came back in time for some sunset Monster Golf on the Peninsula. Wind was picking up but I still managed to hit 4 over par on 9 holes. Sold 3 sets to people watching, nice!

September 8, 2008 Finally, an afternoon with little wind. The monster golf ball flies so far with a tail wind, its incredible. Or else my drive is just getting that much better. Shots that used to take me 3 hits to get within putting distance, I'm now making in one. I added some tennis grip wrap to my club, which is a AWESOME MOD. Highly recommended. Just go to your sports store and buy tennis grip overwrap, and wrap it over the existing foam grip. Even if your current grip is rotating, it will fix it!
September 1, 2008 I let a family use 4 sets of my Monster Golf clubs, which was hilarious. They are definitely *way too heavy for young kids to play with. Although, these kids were only like 4 or 5 years old so thats understandable. They still had tons of fun knocking it around. Then I had to show them how it's really done. The key is to tee it up a bit, by building a small mound of sand beneath the ball (for beach playa's). It should rocket off the club like a softball being hit - real fast and low, with little spin. If it goes up high with back spin, tee it a little lower. Also, rotate the club forward to close the club face on every drive.
